About me

I am Efstratios (Stratos) Kritikos and I am a Research Associate in the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford. Previously, I was a Research Associate in the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). I received my PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London.

Research direction

My research spans atomistic to macroscale investigations of multiphysics phenomena, using theoretical and computational approaches. Areas of interest include warm dense matter (WDM) and complex (dusty) plasmas, nanoparticles in reacting flows, and electromagnetic interactions in molecules and nanostructures.

Current research

My main current projects are: (i) relativistic electron transport in WDM plasmas (Oxford); and (ii) formation and growth of nanoparticles in complex plasmas (Caltech).
